Let Military Chaplains Pray in the Name of Jesus
Military chaplains are now banned from praying in the name of Jesus Christ outside of religious services. However, House Resolution 268 introduced by Representative Walter Jones will correct this terrible wrong. Please sign the petition in support of H.R. 268.
Whereas, The United States of America was founded by enlightened individuals who believed in God; and
Whereas, Faith has played a critical and positive role in our nation's growth and development especially within the U.S. military; and
Whereas, A vocal minority of bigoted and radical atheists wishes to deny the important role God plays in the life our people by preventing military chaplains from praying as they see fit and in any circumstance these chaplains chose; and
Whereas, It is important to stand up for our brave men and women in uniform and allow them their right to worship God; and
Whereas, U.S. Representative Walter Jones has introduced House Resolution 268, which explicitly allows military chaplains the freedom to pray in public in a manner consistent with their own religious beliefs;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, I urge Congress to pass House Resolution 268 in order to stop the radical atheist lobby from robbing members of the armed services of their God given rights.
