I think it is crazy that ANY of our MILITARY pay more that $500 to fly anywere at anytime. My son had to pay over $700 to fly home to be with his wife and baby girl for his baby girls first Christmas and to see his family after being away for 6 months. It is crazy They (THE MILITAY) are fighting for our Country and then when they try to get home to see their family they are taken advantage of by being charged an outragious amount for Airline Ticket to get home and then back. I feel it should be more like $300-$350. I feel they are putting thier lives on the line everyday for ALL of US to be here and our FREEDOM. Please let them know by allowing them to get home to their families without having to spend thier entire saving to do it...

I agree. Absolutely ridiculous. Some families can't even afford the outrageous prices, especially last minute arrangements.

I agree! it is ridiculous that our service man and women have to pay full price for a ticket and they don't even make minimum wage! my son was charged and additional $80 to change his ticket because his orders changed at the last minute. !

As military gets granted leave they should be able to spend it with loved ones no matter where they live. These young individuals are serving their country, its time the country does something for these service men and women.

I am a new Marine Mom but the cost of travel is already a sore subject with me. They wait until the last minute to gve these Men and Women leave with the cost of tickets have skyrocked.

We have 18 yr old twins sons that joined the Navy right out of high school. It's sad they have to worry about being able to afford a plane ticket home for Christmas.

The military by the very nature of their service are not able to plan flights months in advance in order to obtain reasonable air fare. May times their trips to see family and loved ones are made within a matter of weeks. My son's was and it cost $1,466 for him to get home for a few days. Our service members don't make that kind of money but they deserve to see their families. Give them this small benefit in consideration of all they sacrifice.

As the mother of a Sailor it cost over one half of his monthly pay for him to be able to come home for a visit. This would be great if it were to pass

As the mother of a Sailor this would help immensely. Sadly, our military member make very little money in exchange for protecting our freedoms and cannot afford expensive flights home to see their loved ones.

There should not even have to be a petition for this. Every airline should automatically institute this as policy to honor those who serve us and give up so much themselves.
