my fiancé is a marine and comes home every Christmas but he never finds out when he can come home until about a month or less before and by then the airline prices are above $1000.

My son might not make it home for Christmas because for him to fly is about $650, that's ridiculous!!! He is working for our countryand our freedom, he shouldn't have to pay!!!!

My daughter is a US Marine..she is still stationed in the USA ..NC and I live in California..getting leave last minute and paying civilian rates , I think is so wrong. I am all for putting a cap on military travel costs. If it were up to me I'd make it free for active and way reduced for vets and reserves.

I have 4 grandchildren who are in japan...and they cant afford to come home....havent seen them for christmas in 3 years.....

Being a member of the US military, I do agree with this petition. When we have orders/time shifts/liberty periods shifted on us at a moments notice, we are sometimes left with little choice than to purchase a ticket 2 weeks prior to a major holiday.
