We, the undersigned, being concerned citizens, of the Green Local School District, are presenting this petition to, once again, express our desire to NOT hire Mike Hughes as High School Basketball Coach. We have repeatedly expressed these concerns to the BOE and they still desire to hire him. This makes us question the BOE's motives behind their desire to bring Mr. Hughes and the controversy that surrounds him into our school again. While we realize that our Basketball team is in need of a coach we do not feel that Mr. Hughes or the controversy that surrounds Mr. Hughes is in the best interest of our students. We are aware that the BOE plans to post the position in the March 15th board meeting and hire Mr. Hughes in the April meeting. We will be presenting this petition in the March 15th meeting at 6:30 in the high school library to once again express our concerns on this matter. We ask that you take this petition into consideration and the fact that this controversial topic is not good for our school. Thank You Green Local School Citizens
