Mike DelGrande for Bullis Athletic Director
Dear Christian Sullivan, Bullis Leadership, and Athletic Director Search Committee,
We hope this letter finds you well and off to a great start to the 2026 school year! We write to you in support of who we believe to be the best candidate for the open Athletic Director position for the Bullis School. Mike DelGrande previously held the athletic director position at Bullis from 1997 to 2009 when his family needs pulled him away to take a job across state lines, at Chestnut Hill Academy in the greater Philadelphia area.
During his tenure as Athletic Director, Mike DelGrande was a pillar in the Bullis community who epitomized what it means to be a bulldog in every way - fiercely competitive, fair, disciplined, caring, community-oriented, and deeply loyal to Bullis. He was proud to be a bulldog and everyone knew it. He was demanding and held everyone to a higher standard, making drastic improvements to the athletic department during his tenure. The Bullis athletic department would not be where it is today without the foundation laid by Coach Delgrande. He helped shape the lives of countless students at Bullis and has continued to be a friend and mentor to many of us long after his time at Bullis ended.
It would be difficult to find another candidate who shares the same passion for the Bullis community, Bullis athletics, and youth development more than Mike Delgrande. Beyond being an exceptional educator who changed countless lives, he is an even better human being. We feel strongly that there is no better candidate for this position.
Go Bulldogs!
With Grattitude,
Bullis alumni & alumni parents
