We fully support the applications to the Committee of Adjustment by Sally and Vicky. As new parents living in the community, we can attest to the extreme shortage of daycare for children, especially licensed facilities. The proposed variances are appropriate and desirable for the establishment of a daycare facility in this location. The property is situated within a vibrant mixed use area and will further utilize an existing building for a use which is a permitted use and will positively contribute to the range and mix of uses within the community. The reduction in parking is appropriate as many parents will be utilizing the proposed spaces for short term pick up and drop off and in fact, living in the community, I can attest that many people will in fact walk to this location on their way to and from work (i.e. using transit). The proposed variances are minor and will facilitate an appropriate use of the lands.

There is a serious shortage of daycare for young children and toddlers in Toronto and in Leslieville especially because one of the Woodgreen centres was closed for no logicial reason. On just my street alone there are about 10 babies that will need care soon. We need this care in the community and fast. This location is right next to other businesses and Shoppers Drug Mart. It will fit right in.

As a mother of one, and another one on the way, I couldn't be more excited about the possible opening of Mighty Kids on our street. Since the begining of their long journey, Sally and Vicky have shown nothing but professionalism and extensive knowledge in childcare. Without a doubt, the addition of Mighty Kids would be of incredible value to our community.
