this needs to be stopped and those dogs/animals (if there's more than just dogs there) need to be taken off the property and the person given a HUGE fine for all of this!! This is definately cruelty!!

Midland County should be ashamed to allow this in their community. This is not something that can simply be swept under the rug in hopes that we all will give up. Midland has a large dog-loving community and we will not stop fighting for innocent animals forced to live in horrific living conditions!

Signed. We need to get help for these dogs now. A rescue needs to be contacted to at least help these POS build proper kennels. Do these people want to get rid of some of these dogs?. Maybe a friendly dialogue can be started. Let's first try to make the dogs more comfortable

Yes, everyone says, "something has to be done" but, not all of us are actually "doing" anything. Just knowing and talking about the unspeakable, heartbreaking lives so many animals have to tolerate is not enough. So many rescue postings beg for donations, but that is not enough. If everyone who cares, call and ask what more can be done, maybe a nationwide campaign, or volunteer work, or anything just ONE person could contribute, could make a huge difference.
Lets not forget the elephants living is absolute hell for even 50 years! That is another horror that must stop. How much effort would people do if they traded places with one of these abused angels for just ONE day! Yes, SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE! NOW!

For those living in Homer Township - the next board meeting is February 18th - http://www.homertownship.org/MeetingMinutes.php
According to the Homer Township zoning map this property is Residential, Medium Density. http://www.homertownship.org/ordinances/Homer_Township_Ordinance_2012-Zoning-Map.pdf
And, according to the zoning regulations, http://www.homertownship.org/ordinances/Homer_Township_Ordinance_2012-Zoning.pdf, an Outdoor Dog Kennel requires a Special Use Permit.
HOWEVER, Residential, Medium Density zones do not allow a Special Use Permit for Outdoor Dog Kennels.
Further - the statute regarding dog kennels require they receive exercise - which I highly doubt these dogs are given.

This is America, they are puppy farmers. Puppies are a crop regulated but the USDA. The American Kennel Club, Big Agriculture companies, & breeders everywhere lobby hard to protect puppy farmer's rights to treat dogs like this.. Until all states have dog breeding laws on the books do not support the AKC! When you buy a puppy online or in a pet store you support this industry.
