Sign this petition to urge the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors to make an immediate change to the personal property tax on boats. Unfortunately the current boat tax has put Middlesex County businesses at a severe disadvantage to our competitors in neighboring counties. If our current boat tax remains unchanged, the effect will be that area boaters will have fewer competitive choices for services. There are a number of ways that the tax can be adjusted to level the playing field for the benefit of boaters and businesses. The members of the Middlesex Business Coalition are urging the Board of Supervisors to explore all options and implement the best solution.
