The sayreville board of education they claim to care about our kids so much but they stop buses going to the middle school making 11 year olds walk further to school then the high school kids, having to cross busy roads with traffic in the morning through all types of weather with the sex offenders out there its not right all because they want to save a buck. They claim the town got a vote i didnt get a vote and i know alot of other people who didnt have a chance to vote either so first ill be asking the people in the town to sign up to fight against the no busing policy i calculated the distance from my house to the middle school its 2.10 miles 50 mins for an adult in walking distance that means since the school starts at 7:45 kids are expected to leave by 6:30am to make it to school then im going to the mayors office and if nothing is done then ill be taking it up with the governors office the local news papers and the channel 12 news. kids that age are too young to walk to school that far especially with barely any sidewalks, major roads, bad weather conditions having to walk further then high school kids.
