I believe a storage facility would hurt the peppery values of our neighborhood. This site would be better suited for a restaurant or shop that would bring added value to the area and its residents.

That is one of the most poor choice for our neighborhood . Should be other type of attraction , like a restaurant was there long time ago or other type of nice business . I prefer to see that spot empty instead a storage place.

I drive past that location several times a day. Red Lobster is one of the best restaurants in town. Last I read, they are generating more revenue than any other restaurant in the area, but there could be variance to that. Regardless, Red Lobster is an UPSCALE restaurant that people spend a great deal of money to patron. Placing a storage facility next to an upscale eating establishment does not mesh well. There are ways to make that an appealing lot of land that lifts the neighborhood up in value and compliments all the hard work Red Lobster is putting into maintaining that lot. Over in West Little Rock, there are groups of Restaurants and nice shopping outlets that are all grouped together. I would love to see an Olive Garden and something to that nature there. Perhaps something "green" or "natural". With the loss of Green Tree Nursery, the addition of a new nursery would be greatly welcomed!!!

I own The Water Buffalo at 106 S Rodney Parham, next door to the lot in question. I am against the rezoning and I will be at the meeting.

The ideal replacement for the Green Tree Nursery would be a 'green space'. It would be beautiful for all to enjoy......but of course that wouldn't generate $$ for the property's owner.......which is unfortunately seems to be the motivating factor in most everything these days........The "opposite end of the stick" of putting in a green space WOULD BE a big concrete storage complex.

A huge storing complex does NOT fit in with the other businesses in that area and would create a stand-out- eyesore along Rodney Parham. It would likely lower property values.

This is yet another planned eyesore in the Midtown neighborhood. As a homeowner in the district, I am appalled by the lack of foresight or concern regarding the appearance and the dynamics of a too-long neglected area.

Well said, Tamara. I agree Judy and Janelle. There are a lot of storage facilities around here. There is also an additional one being planned along Rodney Parham. I would also be concerned about the impact on pets during construction, traffic issues, activities within the storage facility, and more. This facility, however well planned, brings with it certain liabilities that could significantly harm property values in the long term. Meth labs, "storage buildings that become motels", and all types of potential hazards come hand and hand with this type of development.

A three-story storage facility is a terrible idea! There are already two within less than 1/2 mile of this site, and another one being built on Rodney Parham! This type of development will not enhance the community or be of any service to its members other than to shut down a potential commercial site that should be developed for a more appropriate business.

I do not want a storage facility put in the space on Rodney Parham by Red Lobster. There will be drainage problems as there already is in Kroger's parking lot and probably in Red Lobster's parking lot. We do not need another storage facility in our neighborhood.

This is not a warehouse area, we have enough storage facilities as is. This community would prefer a business that invites people to come to our area to eat/drink/shop, not just store their stuff. We don't want the lights, crime & ugly aesthetics of a storage facility.
