Microsoft is anti-FOSS so this won't matter. But what the hell.. I'll sign and be hopeful.

Essentially because some software hasn't been updated to work with new Windows kernels, I think Microsoft should just let the OS become open source. Those of us trying to play old games would really appreciate it

There's ReactOS, but this would be a nice gesture and more proof that the new MS isn't threatened by the idea of free software. And what a nice companion the source code would be for those reading Raymond Chen's The Old New Thing (I keep meaning to but now I'm in a Linux only job so not as motivated). I think neither ReactOS nor a free release of Windows 95 or 98 would compete with your business today. Rather it might develop more expertise in your technology among aspiring developers.
