I find it only right to give Mick the freedom of the town. Nobody will ever beat this record! I now live in Liverpool and come from Lynn and find it only right to do this!

Amazing player. A role model on and off the pitch for all Lynn kids no matter what sport they aspire to.

When I was a lad I remember him, playing in those times he should get a knighthood.

A true legend, we will never see the like again. Had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times recently, a very modest guy who fully deserves the recognition.

People who serve their Community with pride and with little expectation of reward or glory deserve such an accolade at the very least. Time to honour Mick for what he has done for Kings Lynn and for football. Had a Premier League player did what he achieved, he would have got a Knighthood.

I saw him play many times. He was very able and could have played at a higher level. He always gave 100% In addition he was very brave and once saved a man form drowning. He has lived throughout in King's Lynn. I do hope this petition succeeds.

I think this would be very fitting, assuming it is what he wants as I gather he is quite a shy man.
