MSU needs change and this petition is driving a large part of it! If we start from the beginning, at AOP, chances of sexual safety would increase infinitely.

MSU needs to own up to the problems that they enabled. Nothing like this should have ever happened, and now it is time to prevent further harm to students, staff, and community members.

As a former player and current student I see how this has effected the campus from sports to how kids interact with each other. This is a great cause and I am in full support of creating change here at MSU and for us to set an example nationally that this is issue is extremely important and we must stand together in order to make change. I only can speak on things I know, but I understand that in some areas of the athletic department we failed, but I know we have great people working hard to get it right. We owe this to the victims and we owe this to all future spartans. Continue to stride forward and make change in all unjust areas.

sexual misconduct is the product of miseducation and a lack of knowledge. I want to sign this petition because Students who are survivors of rape should not be responsible for educating them self of resources needed. MSU has to stop treating survivors like victims and give them the proper tools to thrive and stand up and fight. MSU can prevent a lot of rape related situation by informing student of correct sexual consent and knowledge.

I was so happy when several students approached me and said they wanted to get involved in the positive change that needs to occur at MSU. When they suggested a petition, I knew it would be the perfect way for the class to brainstorm what THEY want instead of hope that 'higher-ups' create the change they want and need here on campus. I believe in MSU students and I think we need employ their suggestions.
