Fine's professional work is outstanding, and her questioning of the testing practice the right thing to do.

Michelle Fine's work is inspiring. Her call to researchers to "be of use" to communities in need has influenced my research and teaching. She should be applauded for her work instead of being attacked.

When an educator cannot stand up for the rights of children, there is a deeply disturbing influence of private corporate interests on a free and public education.

Michelle Fine's response to standardized testing and corporate takeover of public education reflects a citizen exerting her rights and a professional applying her expertise in the public interest. This harassment must end.

We need to assure the reach of creators of high-stakes testing do not silence our right to voice our concerns. Anonymous requests for information means that the exchange of information becomes one-sided. The bullying of education professionals must stop.

My family and I stand with Michelle Fine and admire her hard work on behalf of all students and educators. The treatment she has gotten is unjust.

I am signing this on my own not as a representative of UNCC or the state of NC.

If Michelle's opponents had data to support their views, they wouldn't have to stoop to ad-hominems and libelous videos.

I have heard about Dr. Fine and her work for years. As a resident of Montclair I am surprised that there were attempts made to publicly harass and hamper her efforts on behalf of students and teachers in Montclair and in many other districts in NJ. We support you, Dr. Fine!

Cease and desist this defamatory treatment. Dr. Fine has a right to her position on testing. She has bravely articulated the views of countless educators. A question for Fine's opponents: What is your position on bullying?

Dr. Fine is one of the most influential and important scholars of education and social justice today. She is absolutely correct in her critique of standardized testing. Please support Dr. Fine and the essential work she and her colleagues are doing. Step up and do what's right.

Corporate entities will always try to silence reformers. Thankfully Dr. Fine is doing important research to improve the educational system for ALL children.

I support this petition. I think anyone should be able to question a process or procedure without being subjected to harassment of any kind.

It is beyond appalling that this distinguished scholar, passionate social justice advocate, and brilliant woman be subjected to this treatment my self-interested bullies.
