Target: The Unlawful Incarceration of Michael A. Johnson....We Want Him Released!!!

June 15, 2011, Michael Johnson, a 29 year old African American Male, from South Carolina was arrested in Salina, Kansas. He was accused of raping a Caucasian Woman, who engaged in consensual sex with him, following a night of a birthday celebration and drinking with her and friends. Before anyone filed a complaint, Michael Johnson, in his own defense, contacted the Salina Police Department in an attempt to make them aware of the pending accusations against him. The police came out and took Michael down to the police station for additional questioning. After Michael spoke with the police while still under the influence of alcohol, he was placed under arrest and booked into the Saline County Jail on 4 charges. Since the arrest, we have been able to gain Forensic & DNA Testing Reports from the Kansas Bereau of Investigation. All the documents, which are also available for viewing on this website, show that Michael Johnson’s DNA was not discovered on the tested items, as well as the Rape Kit done on the victim which shows for all areas checked: No Acute Injury Noted. The summary of the report indicates that No seminal fluid was detected, and that the proof of rape by Mr. Johnson is inconclusive. Although this evidence proves that the sexual contact between the individuals was consensual, the State of Kansas has refused bond release and intends to proceed with the trial. It was even noted in the forensic report, that seminal fluid was found “from an unknown male individual.” If the State of Kansas proceeds with the case and Mr. Johnson is tried and found guilty. He is looking at a 18 year prison term in a state facility, registration as a sex offender for 25 years, and a lifetime sentence of parole which confines him to the State of Kansas indefinitely.
