A 50 meter pool would be a great boost to Westside swimming of all levels.

I support this project but we need a 50 meter pool or don’t bother.

Would love to see this. Wondering if the pool would be available to the community all the time or limited to times when the school is not using it. Would be very disappointing if public couldn’t access as their own schedule allows.

Incredible idea. There is such a need for a facility like this in the area. It would be a huge boost to not just local swim families, but also the entire community.

50 Meters is the real Olympic size. If you have access to a 50 meter pool, this will be your best bet for swim training. It does take some getting used to but it is worth the extra effort. The reasons why a 50 meter pool is better than a 25 yard or meter pool for swim training are: 1. Much more continuous swimming. Half as many walls to turn at, simulating open water swimming better than a shorter pool. 2. More time to focus on your technique while you swim without interruptions. 3. Training is slightly more challenging, resulting in better preparation for an open water race (or any swim race).

We would support this motion to be put into place. Having 4 children that were competitive swimmers, We’ve seen the growth and transformation this sport has given to each of them. Having this pool in our community will be a positive promotion of well-being and health for every individual.
