I was late to my shift at the student center twice this week because of the parking mess. STOP LOCKING UP LOTS THAT NO ONE IS EVEN USING.

getting tired of paying tuition just to be treated like an inconvenience. carrying my art projects across campus in the rain is just not okay.

it makes no sense to have empty spots sitting there all day when I have to walk 20 minutes to get to my class. fix this.

The parking being made exclusively for prospective students when there is already a shortage of parking for current students is ridiculous. Since the only difference between current and prospective students is the fact that the former are already paying money to the university, it heavily implies that we students are only good for the money we provide to the school. Miami is an institution of education, however it has become in many ways a for-profit business which is deplorable.

I live 45 minutes away from campus and rely on that parking lot to meet for my annual student teaching seminars in the art building. I thought I could park there until I was given an email informing me students and staff are not allowed to park there even if they pay for a daily pass. And every time I pass the parking lot there are a maximum of 3 cars in the lot at all times, which means about 20-30 spots are completely unused at all times. I'm astonished that Miami changed the lots considering how many students and staff paid for those spots.

I once had to carry approximately 50 lbs of lumber from my metered parking spot on campus ave. to the art building. Since it was raining, and I could not get a ride the lumber was ruined. If I could have parked in the lot now reserved for admission this could have all been avoided.
