We propose that carriers of the Michigan EBT bridge card are given an option as to how the card looks. We are sick of being ostracized for needing food assistance by cashiers and fellow shoppers. We do not need the eye rolling, the sighs and the head shaking that comes along with using our EBT cards! We are people who are, or were carriers of EBT cards and family members/friends of people with EBT cards. We would like to change the face of the card so that it resembles any other debit/credit card so the judgement of being in need can STOP. We also propose that the card will have a picture of the user on the face so that the selling of food stamps can come to a STOP. It is people who abuse the system that gets others to judge the people in need! Change needs to happen, so sign this petition whether you have EBT, use to have EBT, know someone with EBT or have witnessed someone being harassed or mistreated for having EBT. We shouldn't be embarrassed for being in need!
