girls should not be taken away from their learnings at school to be sent home because of their learnings. This dress code has been ridiculous for at least 5 years and is just getting worse. Times have changed and this needs to be fixed. All luck to you! Hopefully you can make the administration at MHS look at things in a new perspective.

this petition highlights several issues with the dress code that should be addressed.

If you wouldn't wear it to a job interview at a fast food restaurant (bottom of the work food chain) don't wear it to school. So, no super tight or super revealing anything, don't show your undies, it ought to be clean, it probably should not look like sleep wear or gym wear. If you dress work casual / young it would be great. Men should not wear hats inside. It never was done. When ladies wore real hats they sometime left them on in church etc... Again, you should be learning this! Knee length skirts might be a little long, but I wonder how long before the micro minis show up. (BTW... I remember this same conversation circa 1978 .... I was you then!)

Farson is now causing havoc over at A.I. Root! The girls volleyball team is not allowed to wear their jerseys in school on game day. He claims they violate the dress code. What is the difference between watching them in the gym or watching them during school?

Free The Knee! Agreed on most of this. The hat rule is the only thing I think is okay. Hats are considered improper in class and in other formal/professional scenarios; young adults- y'all should already know this! But YES! Fight for reasonable shorts and tanks! Fight for gender equality on this! They've taken the code too far. Continue to fight this maturely and professionally, then be reasonable when you win. Then everyone wins. Acquiescence* is Essential. (SAT wordflash!)

The dress code is stupid and sexist.

I as parent spoke with Farson and he is absolutely a bulldozer who is unwilling to listen to reason or have a conversation that doesn't involve his control.thank you for bringing this to others attention.

It's ridiculous that girls can not wear shorts on hot days. There is no where that sells shorts for girls that are knee length

You have the support of many us on the Medina City Schools Outrage Page. I think you will find Mr. Harrison more agreeable to a compromise. Best of luck.

I totally and completely agree with this. I've been wanting to change the dress code ever since I came to MHS. The hat rule is completely ridiculous. Tank tops are fine. So what if your bra strap shows? We all know girls wear them! I mean you better call Victoria and tell her her secret is out! As for the shorts rule, I only have 1 pair of shorts I can wear to school. That's why I wear jeans in 80 degree weather! I really, really, really hope that these rules can be changed. Good luck to you, and to MHS! Thankyou

If I girl get a leg injury they still need to wear knee length pants and if they can't fit it over a cast or anything like that what will they do

I also don't understand why teachers have the right to break this dress code. I have had many teachers wear dresses that show their shoulders and knees. Just sayin.
