I am very disappointed with the Mayor of London he has shown over sustained period of time that project is not one of his priorities this is the right development for the benefit of the people and the infrastructure of the area and broader region in general.
It seems Sadiq is happy to take 110 million plus 73 million but only minimise the potential of what this can do for people, instead Mr Khan decided to just take the minimum amount of the funding that he received and use those for something that is definitely not matching the initial request and perhaps may very well end up spending the rest of this money on something else which again will be completely unrelated and a vanity project. I don't believe that Sadiq Khan is the right person to fulfil a job such as Mayor of London to me this is only one of the many questionable decisions that he has made since is been installed as Mayor.

Vital for development of Watford and surrounding area. Ridiculous station not sighted in centre of town. Disappointed in Khan's stand but not surprised.

It's just pure common sense to connect the Metropolitan tube line with the main Euston rail line. Instead of them being on opposite sides of the town. If all the funding is in place what objection can Sadiq Khan have?

Think of all the extra money from passengers that will take it from Watford Junction to the football stadium.

I live on the Met line at Northwood Hills. Getting to Watford at present requires driving and parking or a major expedition. With a Met line extension, like many people, I would go there more and spend more money there!

As someone who grew up in Harrow, a direct Met line link to the centre of Watford would be of great benefit to Londoners who work and shop there. A lack of transport between Harrow and Watford just adds to traffic issues as anyone who has travelled on the 258 will attest. The Mayor of London is incredibly short-sighted when he mentions his concerns about London taxpayers' money - Londoners aren't solely interested into faster routes into the city.

This needs to happen! So many of the other projects that are going on around the area were agreed due to the fact there was going to be a better transport system in place!

I am a Londoner and a suppprter of Mr Khan but I truly believe he is being very short sighted in his rejection of this scheme. Yes Watford is not part of London, but I'm sure tfl will benefit from the revenue as I'm sure they do from Watford junction. Besides this will it create jobs due to the infrastructure. Feels like he's playing politics

I totally support this scheme. I grew up within 200 yards of watford met station but even so, feel that such a scheme will add a valuable transport link to herts bucks and middlesex. It has been considered for as long as i have been alive. Thats over 50 years. Watford met was never intended to be the terminus and serves a relatively small area. Lets finally deliver a link to central watford and beyond a proof a generation of doubters wrong.

Please reconsider this scheme and look at the money that Hertfordshire residents generate for TfL and greater London by their contribution to business and leisure in London

The current Met Station only benefits about 10% of Watford Residents. The extension would benefit around 95% of Watford Residents in having an available Tube station near them.

This extension benefits people living in Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent and central London who want to travel to Watford for work or other purposes. I am a Hillingdon resident.
