On July 16, Metallica will be performing at Rogers Centre. Fans of live music in Toronto know that concerts in "The Dome" always sound better when the roof is open.
This is why we're requesting that Rogers Centre open the roof during this heavily-anticipated concert. The sound will be better for the performers and audience, plus the place just looks awesome when the roof is open! Nothing quite like taking in a show with the CN Tower lit up and looming over the venue.
You did it for Springsteen. You did it for U2. Do it for Metallica.
Do it for Toronto.

I have sent a formal request to the Rogers Centre operations team regarding the roof status for this event. They have acknowledged receipt of the message but have not yet provided a definitive commitment. I am currently compiling a list of concert precedents to highlight why this remains an operational possibility.

Open the damn roof, its not like it'll be air condition in there. It would be an unbelievable experience for everyone involved.
C'mon Rogers. It's summertime! We want to be outside. Unless it's raining the roof should ALWAYS be open.
The acoustic in that place is straight garbage when its closed. Just open the thing already, we paid way to much money to listen to muffled noise in a giant concrete box.
Seeing the sky during a metal show would be so sick. Make it happen guys!!!!

Would be such a spectacular sight, plus we all know about the sound issues with Rogers Centre! Open the ROOF before MetallicA blows it off!
