To whom it may concern,
This is a petition created and signed by the students of AUD to take the final examination of the course MEST380: The Modern History of the Arabian Gulf from 1500 AD to Present Time taught by Professor Al Salim online, but students will come on campus.
Students of the MEST380: The Modern History of the Arabian Gulf from 1500 AD to Present Time course will have to show up on campus during the given exam date, but instead of the exam being written on paper, it will be virtual.
We understand that it is mandatory for ALL students to come in with their own working devices.
If anything were to happen, the students of MEST380 take the blame and will deal with the situation without the involvement of the professor.
The reason we suggest this option is because students are forced to come on campus, we need time to adapt to the environment around us. Taking an online exam on-campus is going to help us adjust and grow accustomed to the atmosphere. In addition, this will help students transition smoothly from an online to an on-campus environment and attitude.

I have been in contact with the department office to clarify the logistics of our proposal for the MEST380 final examination. The administration is currently reviewing the technical requirements and the feasibility of our request to utilize personal devices on campus. Please remain patient while we secure a formal response regarding this transition.

The level of engagement for this proposal has reached a significant point. It is encouraging to see the consensus among the students regarding our request for a virtual examination environment.

My parents are at high risk if God forbids that they get the virus and I’m not willing to take that risk.
I prefer to use my laptop even if the final is on campus, better than using paper and coming in contact with many surfaces
To take the final exam online
Still taking the exam with all students on campus is a huge RISK!!!!!
