The world is overrun with plastic. What is terrifying about this product is that it is the least biodegradable substance on this planet, so hard to break down that scientists don't even know what it's life span is (estimates range from 500,000-1,000,000 years). Meaning that plastic ever created, spanning back to the 1930s, is still around, floating in our oceans and crowding our dumps.
