Mesa Verde National Park Special License Plate - Colorado

This is great! As an archaeologist it is important to recognize our history in Colorado

I have taken fourth grade students and their parent chaperones from Colorado Springs to Mesa Verde several times. Colorado history is the yearlong Social Studies curriculum for fourth grade. These visits gave them lasting impressions a book or film could never provide. This is a national and global treasure to be honored.

I grew up in Cortez. I think this would be wonderful to benefit Mesa Verde.

Mesa Verde is the first National Park my parents took me to some 65 years ago. I have been back many times to visit this most spiritual sacred place. We must preserve this for all generations to come.
