This program gives me confidence my child has meaningful engagement outside of the classroom with the natural world. It is one of the primary reasons we send our daughter to MES. It is why we donate and get corporate matching. Without it, I'm not sure where our funds go.

My kids love the garden program at MES, and I believe it is an important part of their education. I especially like how it encourages a love of vegetables and healthy eating.

How are children going to protect the Earth if the children aren't able to feel, touch, smell and taste things they have grown.

The garden is one of the wonderful programs that I am supporting when I donate to Montclair. Don't take away this very meaningful program. I am a lifelong gardener and believe it to be extremely valuable to mental and physical health, as well as education.

Learning how to grow food is a basic life sustaining skill we should all learn to do. Teach the children!

This program at MES is hands down.the best garden program that OUSD has to offer at any school. Its hands on feom the start. Both of my kids attended this program and we've volunteered as well. It literally answers ths question "where does food come from?" My Kelsey is amazing and teaches.more.fhan eating the food they grow, they scientifically measure seedlings all.the way to full growth and examine the reasons why.one grown better than the others. Something that their current school garden program does not; which is the science behind gardening!

I've seen firsthand the way Mr. Kelsey has approached the gardening program with the intent to educate and encourage young minds to try new things. He, along with many of our enrichment lead colleagues, is a seldom and crucial part of Montclair's mission of high quality instruction. His knowledge and charisma is inviting to all students, creating an inclusive and safe space for our special needs children.
