The kids love garden! It gives them a chance to explore and get messy, learn about nature and feel proud of what they grow. They even get to enjoy fresh fruits and veggies from the garden with their buddies. I’ve volunteered in the garden several times over the past two years and have seen firsthand how much the kids truly love this outdoor learning experience.
This program isn’t just enrichment- it is an essential part of their education and something many families deeply value. I would be incredibly disappointed if my incoming kindergartener doesn’t get to have that same opportunity next year at MES.

This is such a wonderful program. My kids both talk about it every time they attend. It’s a real treasure of a program and must be saved!

Gardening is the only science exposure these kids get! Closing this program greatly devalues mes' offering as a school

Hope to have more transparency around these decisions, including tradeoffs / prioritization, etc. so parents can be informed and involved.
