Many pilots who fly for these virtual networks want VATSIM and IVAO, to merge back together, for the following reasons, more traffic and to spread more ideas around the network. If IVAO and VATSIM merge, then it would encourage more people to join from other parts of the world. For example, for training methods, the US trainers could go over what their schedule is and then go about scheduling training sessions. The site admins and sup's can schedule their staff meetings when it is convenient for them, so they can talk about ways to improve the site and software. Then as for trainers, people who need to schedule times to take their controller exam or pilot exam, they can schedule time with their trainer, or other trainers. If IVAO and VATSIM merge back together, not on ly will the pilots benefit from it but the controllers and site admins and all of the SUP's will too. Everyone can exchange idea's, sure some will get shot down, but thats life. Pilots can exchange ideas and other software they have for their FS with other pilots as well, and controller can help other controllers so that they can control better, now sure not everyone is right and about everything like how to control and how to respond correctly but that why it would do a great deal of help to the controllers, pilot, site admin, and supervisors as well as trainers.
