New Zealand's Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) act says a person can be coerced by the system if they are seen as potential harm to themselves. This is not the right way to treat someone. It's locking them up when they have done nothing wrong. It's isolating them even further than they've already been isolated.
