I dont want person who got conflict of interest with high cases.

As a citizen of Malaysia and one that has personally served in the Attorney General's Chambers, I would like to state my disagreement with the appointment of Tommy Thomas as the new Attorney General of Malaysia for, amongst others, the reasons below. 1. The Attorney General does not only have to be wise but must also understand the bureaucracy of the department. One of the first tasks of the newly minted Attorney General would be to instil confidence and obtain the cooperation of over 600 lawyers in the department. After the almost three-year reign of Apandi Ali, it is crucial that the department be led by one that is a role model for integrity, independence and just. 2. Not only must the Attorney General be an exemplary leader to his ‘people’, the Attorney General should at least be familiar with the system of governance that applies to the department that he or she administers, including with the applicable administrative and finance circulars. 3. There are many former and current judges who are eligible, independent and capable of reforming the department, Dato 'Mohammad Ariff and Dato' Hishamuddin Yunus amongst them. Aside from the issues at the department level, the Attorney General should be one that masters the complex issues surrounding the area of Shariah. Candidates such as Dato 'Mohammad Ariff and Dato' Hishamuddin Yunus are familiar with this system and understand the intricacies of administration and intricate issues of Shariah. Dato 'Mohammad Ariff and Dato' Hishamuddin Yunus are known for their independence and decision making based on facts and the law, void of political influences or pressure, and public perception.
