Perhaps there is power in numbers online, - I hope that maybe one day people will base policy on empirical reality more than on an architecture of assumptions.

I am not gay but I sign this petition because I strongly oppose attempts by transgender activists and their allies to brand as transphobic anyone who expresses concerns over the matters referred to in the petition. It represents a closing off of debate which I find horrifying.

We must keep segregation based on sex for safety and decency

There are different types of gender dysphoria and different causes of gender dysphoria. Because gender dysphoria can be a symptom of an underlying issue, children with gender dysphoria need support and help in identifying the cause of their gender dysphoria. I used to be very supportive of trans rights/gender identity ideology but the more I read and witness, the more horrified I am by the blatant misogyny and homophobia that is at the core of it. As a gay man I stand with lesbians and support women's sex based rights.

I fully support this. A very ugly men's sexual rights movement masquerading as support for trans people has overtaken LGBT. Watson and his signatories are complicit in a vicious attack on women's rights.

I support this fully. Incredible that this even needs saying or supporting, given the experiences of women at the hands of men, and the hard way in which they have won the rights and protections they have.

We will never surrender our sex-based rights, we fought so hard for them.

I was raped as a child by a man & self identification just makes it easier for abusive men to gain access to women & abuse them. Women’s spaces & sports should be protected & women have safe spaces.

Safe spaces for women and girls are vital. Autonomy for lesbians is vital. Not allowing them to be eradicated is vital.

Around the world, women are still battling for the right to be treated as equal, autonomous human beings, free from male violence, harassment and coersion. Even in North America and in Europe. Giving males the right to call themselves women just because they say they are is the opposite of progress. It is female erasure.

I am scared of the lynch mob mentality of trans rights activists.

Thank you for this very important work. Women have fought very hard for our own spaces, for many years. No one has the right to take them away from us.

It is crucial that women spaces be protected and that we speak about our reality and are not silenced.

Support women. Support lesbians. I'm sick of encountering misogynistic gay men. We need to do better.
