San Francisco Bay Area Coalition to Commemorate thePacificWar (CCPW)

舊金山灣區聯盟紀念太平洋戰爭（CCPW)

Our Organization, represented by the undersigned as authorized by our institutional by-laws, firmly supports the installation of a memorial monument and a set of commemorative statues to honor the defenders of freedom and the victims of the Pacific War (1931-1945) in which 35 million perished and many more millions enslaved. The commemoration shall remind the general public of the tragic historic past and seek regional and global peace and prosperity through collaboration and mutual respect.

我們堅決支持在舊金山市花園角廣場設立一個“慰安婦”紀念碑（及銅像），紀念在1931-1945期間，太平洋戰爭中被日軍從被佔領的國家中招募，綁架並被迫成為性奴隸而犧牲的二十萬年輕婦女，为自由捍衛而喪生的3500萬受害者。以此紀念碑提醒廣大市民悲慘過去的歷史，通過合作和相互尊重尋求地區和世界的和平與繁榮。
