With a country of our status it is unthinkable not to support these athletes.

It seems unfathomable that no one at the USATF thought about the needs of these athletes, and unconscionable that after invitations are extended that no show of support has occurred. Other countries know how to treat their athletes. Clearly the USATF needs to do better.

We should be proud we have such outstanding athletes to represent the USA in masters track. They deserve the support of USATF!!

Don't tell our athletes that once they become masters that they're no longer viable and worthy of representation. Do the right thing for those who put in just as much effort, time, and expense and many professional athletes.

I have written this up on the USATF Officials FB page and shared it with my friends. I too find this to be a huge embarrassing oversight. And now with the French supplying their athlete with FULL team privileges---it is all the more so. Call the National Office and complain...this can/should be rectified 317-261-0500. Respectfully Don Schaefer

Please! To prevent shame and embarassment to the US delegation, please pay for these athletes' expenses. Not nice if the NYTimes gets ahold of this lack of protocol and courtesy!

This is the World Championships and the USA has the honor of having two of our Masters Athletes to represent our country in a Masters Exhibition event. USATF needs to sponsor these athletes for transportation and accommodations to China. Even the Drake Relays provides hotel accommodations and meals for invited Masters 800m runners. Remember all the Masters Athletes who support USATF with membership fees and entry fees.

both Renee and Anselm will represent the USA proudly-they both have been a permanent fixture in the track world-running not only master's races but running with younger division-USA should really sponsor both athletes hands down-the are great for the sport-they represent the past, present and bring their dedication to the future of our sport-with all the negativity that lingers in the sport USATF should display some tact and sponsor Ms. Renee Henderson and Mr.. Anselm LeBourne-
