Members of the Manchester University Community Against HJR-6

I am against HJR-6.

This matters for everyone!

Manchester is where I learned how to be open and affirming; to challenge myself and the boundaries society has placed on me; and to critically think about the world. I deeply encourage the community of Manchester to consider the mission statement of the college and the opportunity it has now to demonstrated our commitment to those values.

Please hold true to the values that are core to the college's teachings.

Manchester - Do the Right thing! Oppose HJR-6 as an affront tojustice!

Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart that I will cherish, but please do not change that with this and go against everything I have learned while I was there.

It is unfortunate not only that this bill has been introduced, but even more so, that I need bother to petion my alma mater to do the right thing.

I keep in touch with Manchester to remind me of my best values.

Thank you, Manchester University, for (once again) taking a stand against injustice!

MU taught me to be a person of ability and conviction. People of the Manchester community, stand together and be strong!

My time at Manchester taught me to stand up for what I believe and to not remain silent when it comes to matters of inequality.

As a MU alum the position the university has taken on this saddens and angers me!

Marriage should not be defined by only man and woman, but by those in love.

Not an alumni of MU, but still feel strongly that this amendment should NOT be added to our constitution.

Marriage should be for all consenting adults who wish to marry.

I'm speaking for at least three of my four genrations of Brethren graduates of MC.. stop discrimination by standing against it!

I fully oppose HJR-6 and am dissapointed that it has not been a no-brainer for MU to oppose it as well.

Absolutely oppose HRJ-6. Common people- some of your best leaders in this country are LGBT!
