I don't personally know Megan but from what I do know she is a smart and beautiful girl. I think she should be able to graduate with her class as well as receive further education to help prepare her for the world outside of school. Good luck girl and may your future be bright.

I'm struggling to see what harm would be done if Megan walked across the stage? Present her an empty folder, shake her hand, and let the day be special for Megan, her classmates, and her family. The reality is, people can receive a diploma without walking across the stage. If the diploma is the official part of graduation, I'm not sure why a walk across the stage is such an issue... No matter the outcome, Megan and her family have taught numerous members of our community what life is really about! She holds a special place is so many people's hearts!

I am an alum of Ed Co and it breaks my heart that they are willing to take this away from this young lady who has worked probably harder then most of the graduating class. I think she should be allowed to walk with her class. If she needs to come back then hold her diploma but at least this way she is not excluded from something she has worked so hard for.

I am an Ed-Co graduate and have always thought very highly of the school. This is very disappointing to see from a school I thought would make a better choice regarding something that is so very important to Megan and her classmates!

So proud to see these kids stand up for what they believe in and support one of their peers in every aspect. Megan has earned this trip across the stage with her peers and better yet her friends.

Why can't she have both, graduate and still return. I have heard of several students who need 1 class who get to go to commencement but not get their diploma until they complete the summer class. How is this different?
