Medullary Sponge Kidney (MSK) Patients Unite - One Voice, Several Goals

I have been living with this horrible disease for 42 years...it's time it is recognized as a disability by physicians and the government.

Please read this petition to get educated on a rare kidney disease that is simply downgraded and overlooked by the medical community. It can be life changing and devastating to famalies, and people who suffer basically in silence. I know a lot of people from all around the world who know more than the medical professionals about this disease, and are only asking to be taken seriously about their complaints of pain and suffering. It's a maddening feeling to not be heard when you're suffering on a daily basis, and worse when you know it's for the rest of your life. Thank you for reading this, and spreading awareness.

I am currently 25 and suffered from kidney stone since I was 15. I suffer daily with chronic pain and I'm constantly treated as a drug addict.

I have suffered with MSK for years and yes I've been treated as a drug addicted. I now have a great doctor but he refuses to increase my meds even though I've been on the same amount for over 6years! I will sign any petition that may raise awareness!

Thank you for this! I've had MSK for 11 years, and the pain would have driven me to suicide if my kids weren't at home.

This disease is horribly debilitating disease. It seems that the Docs are more worried that you are an addict than you having chronic pain with no relief in sight. I hope this petition is successful in generating much needed current research that will lead to an eventual cure or at least better treatment options.

I suffer this disease too. It's hell. Dr.s sometimes treat u like a drug addict. I just had my urologist tell me stents did not hurt.

It is a very painful and exhausting condition.

My mom suffers from MSK and has been told by almost every doctor she's seen that it has no effect on you and doesn't cause any pain or stones. This article made my mom cry in relief to finally get an answer to the constant pain. My family is making it a goal to bring as much acknowledgment to this as possible. More people need to understand MSK.

I'm 21 years old and I suffer from MSK

I was diagnosed in 2010. I had been treated for constant kidney and bladder infections for years. After two rounds of antibiotics and still being in severe pain I was diagnosed in the emergency room after a CT scan. I am in pain daily. I take pain medication that helps ,but it does not go away. I just thought you should know

I have had MSK for 24 years. The past 3 years I have had constant flank pain.

I'm 37 in the past few months pain brings me to my knees . I was just diagnosed with msk today. The pain is horrendous please more research is needed
