In late summer of 2009, Murray asked the insurer to pay for his legal and criminal bills, but Medicus decided to file a lawsuit claiming they're not required to defend Murray's license in three states, and that Texas and California investigation came as a result of allegations of wrongdoing in Jackson's death.
Charles Peckham (one of Murray's attorneys) argued that the Medicus issue should be decided upon after the criminal case is over. What he was trying to do is force Medicus to pay Murray for his murder.

So we urge Medicus NOT to pay Murray's fees and distance themselves from what Murray did to Mr Jackson. Also we ask to those involved in the investigation to please look into why a doctor would purchase malpractice insurance (after so many years of work) exactly one month before one of his patients died...

The current volume of signatures has enabled my legal team to finalize the formal letter directed to the Medicus board of directors. We have now established a direct line of communication with two investigative journalists who are examining the timeline of the malpractice policy purchase.

dont pay his legal fees. let him pay for his own mistakes.
This guy is a criminal plain and simple. No insurance company should be footing the bill for someone who caused a death like that.
He literally killed the king of pop. Keep his money away from murray. justice for michael!!!
The details about the insurance timing are so shady. really suspicious stuff going on here.
Medicus needs to think about their reputation. protecting a killer is a bad look for any business.

It is so obvious he planned it. Why get insurance a month before? medicus needs to wake up and stop paying for this monster.
