Medicare For All - Constituents of Missouri
Healthcare in the United States should be a right, not a privilege. For far too long Americans have struggled physically, mentally, and financially at the hands of profit driven health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and politicians. When you or a loved one has an unexpected medical emergency, pre-existing condition, or simply want access to preventative healthcare it should be readily available to everyone without leaving them bankrupt.
- In the United States, with a GDP of 17.95 Trillion Dollars, it is unacceptable to hear Congress say Medicare for All is too costly.
- Wether you cut your hand on the farm or break your ankle on your way to a board meeting, no American should ever think “Can I afford this right now?”
- If you are unfortunate enough to need extended hospital care A DOCTOR should determine the length of a hospital stay and what treatments are necessary, NOT AN INSURANCE COMPANY.
- No American should work a job they HATE just to keep health insurance benefits.
- Small Businesses are the backbone of local economies and should not have the burden of paying half of an employee’s insurance.
NOTE: This is no longer a Republican vs. Democrat issue. It is not a money issue. IT IS A MORAL AND COMMUNITY ISSUE. The vast majority of Americans and Missourians are decent, hardworking, and morally responsible people who NO LONGER accept seeing a grandparent, neighbor, co-worker, classmate, or anyone else struggle to pay for healthcare services. Obama Care (ACA) is a failure. Only 17% of Americans approve of the American Health Care Act of 2017 (AHCA). It is time to tell Congress THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WE DESERVE BETTER!
Unfortunately, Senators Roy Blunt (R) and Clair McCaskill (D) need a friendly reminder that they are WORKING FOR THE PEOPLE. If they wish to remain in office they must to do the right thing. Both political parties have voted for healthcare bills that are widely unpopular. They did not vote on these bills because it is the right thing to do. Remember: They are exempt from them. They vote for these because that is what their parties tell them to do. Mr. Blunt is expected to vote for the AHCA, a serious blow to everyday people like you. Meanwhile, Ms. McCaskill pretends the ACA is good enough for the rest of us.
It has been their decision to vote against the people they represent. It will be
our decision wether we want them to remain in office in 2018.
By
signing this petition you are telling Roy Blunt, Clair McCaskill and all members of
Congress that WE THE PEOPLE will not accept to be treated like this.
If Congress continues to support another insurance and
pharmaceutical
handout they must be voted out of office. Medicare
For All will ease the burdens of healthcare for their constituents. Not
Obama Care. Not Trump Care. We
do not want health insurance.
We want
Healthcare.
