It would be strongly preferred by the Mechanical Engineering Class of 2017 if we retain Dr. Moses Owolabi as our Mechanical Design 2 professor for the following reasons:
- For continuity purposes, we have already begun our design project with Dr. Owolabi, which is supposed to be carried into next semester.
- We have adjusted to Dr. Owolabi's teaching style, so for us to re-adjust for the second part of this course will impede the initial learning process.
- Over the past semester we have learned a lot from different ends of the spectrum as Dr. Owolabi took a lot of time reviewing past material (solid mechanics, material science etc.).
By being very open to answering any question we may have, which he tends to do so very explicitly inside and outside the classroom, Dr. Owolabi has demonstrated that he is dedicated to helping us learn and understand the curriculum.

I have been meeting with the department heads to present the feedback you all provided regarding the continuity of our design projects. They are listening to our concerns about how changing instructors mid-sequence would negatively impact our learning progress.

Seeing this level of support for Dr. Owolabi confirms what we all know about his impact on our education. It means so much to see our class come together to protect the guidance that has kept us on track this year.

PLEASE keep him for design 2. he actually explains the concepts instead of just reading from the slides.
Owlabi is the man. literally the only reason i understand solid mechanics.
