Mechanical BEng Student's Comments Regarding CFD Assignment

Name - T.R.L.Ranesh KU ID - K1942545 Ansys softer is not run to my pc due to the low capacity. By the way I can’t complete CFD assignment not ussing for this softer and other reason is due to the curfew situation , we can not travel to the ESoft. So could you please consider Part A analysis assignment as both part A and B .

Name - S D Mohan KU ID - K1935688 I dont have the facility to operate Ansys software on my laptop as it needs an optimum requirents to install and run the software. due to current global situation most of the universities are already closed and by the time we did not receive fluency in operating the Ansys software to archive the targeted areas in the assignment. Please be kind enough to give an alternative solution foe the ongoing issue. Thank you.

Name:-Nalinda Meemaduma KU Number:-k1945257 Ansys software is not supported to my lap top due to less performance ,therefore I cannot complete the CFD assignment without the Ansys software and the current condition, Island wide curfew has been implemented in the country and we cannot reach ESOFT premises to complete this assignment using the computer lab, therefore kindly request you to consider Part A analysis assignment as both part A and B.

KU ID: 1945255 Our computers are unable to run sophisticated softwares like ansys. We were using the computer lab in Esoft for our assignments and for practicals. Hence it would be best interest of both university and the student, if students are to get an alternative assignment instead oc current CFD assignment.

Name: Saeed ul karim KU. K1944365 As the current situation all over island is not good and government has imposed lockdown to control the further separation of Covid-19. We have a CFD pending assignment on canvas and we are suffering alot to complete this assignmwnt. Our laptops doesn’t have much capacity or memory to run such heavy softwares. We were supposed to get a lecture on CFD from our professor which couldn’t be done as all private and governmental institutions are closed due to Covid-19. We use ESOFT computers to run such heavy softwares but now we can’t even go outside due to lockdown. Kindly consider part A assignment as both part A snd B and give marks according to our performance in assignment part A.

Sahan vishwanath KU Num-K1932413 My laptop is not power full for install the ansys software and there are so many technical issues during the assignment. So please consider the previous assignment foer make the marks for this, due to current global situation.

Name : Shehan Menurangajith KU Number : K1945268 Comment : We can not complete our CFD Assignment because of this coronavirus situation. We are facing the following current problems. (I) Laptop not supported to Ansys software. (ii) Due to the curfew situation, we can't travel to the Esoft and therefore we cannot study Ansys part.

This CFD assignment is based on Anzys software. But,How we can do it due to : • No Laptop/PC is available in my hand to install Ansys at the moment. • We can’t go to ESOFT to use or practice their PCs to practice CFD due to curfew. Currently,we are under stressed with this COVID pandemic and have to stay at home and have to secure as much as possible.No public transports are running between cities and no one is allowed move due to curfew. We have already completed FEA assignment and request KU to get assignment as a whole.

First part of this assessment we already finished So this pandemic situation please consider it as full assessment due to difficulties which below mention. 1. We haven't any possibility to installing ANSYS for our personal lap tops due to capacity issues. [Need high performance ] 2. We experienced that some time E soft computer also lagging when do simulation. 3. Need more practical knowledge for do this assessment. So we need another few lecture section for do this.

Name:-W.K.M.R.Weeratunge KU Number:-K1939464 Comments;-I don't have suitable software version installed in my computer to do this CFD assignment. Before this pandemic happen we planned to do this in the ESOFT computer lab with proper guidance from the lecturers. But due to current situation worldwide, our country also has been imposed an island-wide curfew and we cant gather or travel to do this assignment. Also we did not receive the guidance for Fluid Flow Simulations before curfew has lifted and online guidance also not usable because of most students doesn't have required specifications in their personal desktops/laptops. Therefore I request for an alternative to this particular assignment.

Previously we planned to do at ECET Computer Lab with the group students but now its became a complicated matter due to the current situation as the government restricted public gathering.

Name - Dimal Thanu Dhamsith Subasinghe KU No. - K1940181 I don't have the facility to operate ANSYS software on my personal computer as optimum system requirements are not satisfied. Alongside due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation prevailing, universities are closed and we did not receive the fluency in operating the software to achieve the targeted areas to be covered in the assignment based on CFD. Therefore I request for an alternative to this particular assignment.

Ansys software is not supported to my laptop due to the insufficient performance.Previously I had planned to complete my assignment using the computer lab facility of ECET.But currently I am not in a position to complete my CFD assignment using the ECET computer lab facility because the government has banned all gatherings and declared curfew for some areas until further notice,specially for western province due to the existing pandemic.
