Please, add to your petition the primary school on Green Road, by Meanwood Park. Speed limit in such a small road should have been reduced years ago to 20 mph. The road by St Urban's Primary & Cardinal Heenan High schools is full of potholes and needs to be resurfaced.

Have had a near miss here too when a driver did not stop.

All roads near schools should have a 20mph limit. Come on Leeds, show everyone else the way with "Child Friendly Leeds"!

This needs to be a top LCC priority - forget road repairs 20mph now near all schools

If someone gets hurt or killed due to this it will ruin not only their lives but their relatives lives and also the life of the person that knocked them down. With so much at stake this needs sorting out quickly before it actually happens

The road has become incresingly busy and many cars travel at inappropriate speeds. I would welcome changes to ensure the safety of my children.

Casualties should not be needed before action is taken on the road. The need of casualties is barbaric and my disgust is emphasised even more by the likelihood of the injury occurring to a student.

Tiny road, narrow pavements and very young and unmindful children. Speed restriction essential to prevent an accident!

I believe that a crossing further away from the car park entrance at Cardinal Heenan would be much safer for the children getting off the buses on a morning. On Church Lane it is surprising that there is no crossing and has never been any casualties. Given the hill and the speed the cars come down it desperately needs traffic calming of some sort. Also a crossing near the bus near the entrance to the church would benefit children crossing from Church Avenue and those who have to cross the road from either side to catch the buses to Abbey Grange.

In order to ensure the safety of our children there needs to be a reduction in the speed limit around schools.

I fully endorse this great campaign. It is incredible that the council takes such a laissez-faire approach.

I strongly support this petition; every school day my children and I have to cross Church Lane which is very dangerous given the speed of vehicles along this road. Would welcome traffic bumps or some road safety measures to ensure safe crossing of this road.

I live on church Lane and cars do speed excessively in this residential area. Drivers sweep round the roundabout without care and indication. As a frequent pedestrian with a child who walks to cardinal Heenan I am in favour of anything that can slow the traffic down and make it safer for all of us to cross.

Many drivers are fully aware of this crossing yet refuse to stop. I have even been on the crossing with my chidren and experienced cars which have stopped for pedestrians being over taken
