McCruelty: I'm hatin' it
"In the slaughterhouses that supply McDonald's with chicken, birds are dumped out of their transport crates and hung upside-down by their legs in metal shackles, which can result in broken bones, extreme bruising, and hemorrhaging. Birds even have their throats cut while they are still conscious, and many are dunked into tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive and able to feel pain."
These chickens- once scalded- are called 'red chickens'. The water is so hot that their blood vessels burst causing their skin to look blood-red. And most of them are still alive when this is done.
