At this point in time, serious charges and complaints have been made against current MCCEA President, Christine Hammerschmidt, with likely legal and financial repercussions. The official MCCEA Officer Recall Process has been started by concerned members, so that the facts can be gathered and presented at a Representative Council.

The purpose of this petition is to start the process, as according to the current constitution (quoted below) the recommendation for recall can only be made after gathering 40% of the signatures from the current Rep Council. This means the names on file with the MCCEA Secretary as being official voting Reps for the 2012-13 year.

The creators of this petition feel that it is imperative for the members of the MCCEA, through the Rep Council, be presented with the facts surrounding these charges, which could have a major effect on our association. For that to happen, the push must be made to begin the fact finding process.

If the petition is successful (reaching at least 40% of eligible members), the specific facts about the charges will be presented at the June 5th Rep Council, starting at 4:30pm at the Meadow Wood Manor. All eligible Reps are strongly encouraged to attend.

PLEASE NOTE- This petition is not the vote for recall. It is merely the means to begin the fact finding process.
The signatures on this list will also be double checked against the names on record with the MCCEA for accuracy and duplicates.

Article IV: Officers, Section 5:

Offices of the Council shall serve their terms so long as they satisfactorily perform the duties of their office. Where an officer is guilty of misconduct, such officer may be removed for cause (shown after notice and a hearing) by two-thirds vote of the total eligible membership of the Representative Council.

a. Recommendation for recall can be made by the submission of a petition containing the signature of 40% of the Representative Council to the Executive Board.

b. The Executive Board shall notify in writing any officer who has been recommended for recall.

c. Any officer may appeal in writing to the Executive Board.

d. The Executive Board shall schedule hearings to review the recommendation of recall of an officer.

e. The report of those hearings shall be made to the Representative Council.

f. A Representative Council meeting shall be called within three weeks after issuance of the report.

g. Such recall shall be determined by a two-thirds vote of the total eligible membership of the Representative Council.
