As a Senior who has to drive all the way to school, I do not feel it to be entirely safe. Yesterday, I was watching the weather and news report with my family and we observed countless accidents from this storm because of careless people who had God knows whatever reason to be on the road, drive around and start sliding into an accident. Yes, I can drive slow tomorrow, but why even take the risk of a possible life or death situation?
The second semester has not even started, and the limit for snow days is (I think) 4 days. There's no real pending rush to kick off the new semester; my peers and fellow MBS students have had a stressful semester—through the halls of Grant, and the confined rooms of the Math trailers. Let us spend just one more day in the safety of our homes and resume classes as well as the start of the new semester at a postponed date!

This list basically has all of the public schools from the towns we come from. They either have a delayed opening or are closed. They are closer to their schools and they have no school or a delayed opening. Give the students what they want. I agree this is petition is absurd, but the students do have a point regarding the dangerous road conditions. I am currently snowed in at my house and I have to teach 3 classes tomorrow and I do not think I will be able to make it to school. It may be too late to get a substitute and I do not want my freshman classes to have a substitute on the first day of classes. While this petition is completely unnecessary, I feel that it is in Morristown Beard's best interest not to have school tomorrow.

The Gold Medal Task Force and I called an emergency meeting to discuss this issue. After countless hours of deliberation we came to the conclusion that school must be closed tomorrow. If not for us, for the poor bus drivers, as well as Nichole, who's presidency we all need another day off from. That is all. #MakeMBSGreatAgain
