Moving an existing system which works well down to the audience creates a communication issue between the soundboard and stage crew. While this example works in many venues, most are temporary. This permanent move will cause audience distraction, open access to expensive equipment if not secured and possible revenue reduction due to removal of seats. Seems like “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies here.

Having the soundboard up in the lookout adds to the experience of being in a real play and real time movie production. Having it downstairs and needing to talk to the ground crew will distract people from they play or concert going on. You dont just get to go up there you have to earn it.

We literally have to switch microphones backstage constantly cuz theres not enough and all the sound equipment works fine

You really should listen to the ones that this decision impacts.

As a previous technical director there, I see no reason the equipment should be downstairs when it can be controlled downstairs with the iPads like we've been doing for years. Setting it up on the floor allows it to be messed with by hooligans or by teachers when it's supposed to be a student controlled thing.

It would be best to leave the soundboard upstairs because it would be less of a distraction to our audience. In addition, if the soundboard were to be moved it would be harder to communicate with other stage crew members.

Please listen to the people who will be most affected by this issue!

Please don't, think about how distracting that would be to the audience during plays/musicals,concerts and school assemblys

It would be so problematic to change the position of the board, especially since we dont know whats in store for our drama department this school year after the COVID-19 Pandemic

Instead of moving the soundboard, you should have better soundboard leadership/supervision.

Please leave this sound booth where it is. We don't want anyone to have an obstructed view and less seating for full student evets

Why would you even change it

I strongly support keeping the board where it is. There is already capability to use the boards downstairs.
