Please help us to get the Coty Council to do the right thing and force Taylor Morrison and Center Point Energy bury those power lines.

Overhead electrical update. Here is information I received from the mayor this afternoon: “Staff has been working on this for the last week. We are having an executive session on this next week. Sorry the wheels are not moving at a speed you would like, as well as your neighbors. We will try and communicate to a greater extend in the future.”
So the issue WILL be discussed at the next council meeting. I think we need to focus our efforts on getting as many people as possible to the next council meeting. I am not going to attend city hall in the park tomorrow.
Please attend, and/or speak out at the next council meeting on May 12th at 6 pm. We need to urge our city leaders to do the right thing. Our subdivision’s safety and aesthetics, as well as our property values are at stake.

I have spoken to two council members today. I encouraged both to take a drive down Isla Vista to see why we are so outraged about the overhead electrical. The City does have the power to overturn the Planning and Zoning Commission’s decision. I have full faith that they will make the right decision for our community.
On Monday, I put in a public records request for any documentation related to the subdivision variance, and for recordings of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s meetings. As soon as I am provided with those, we may be able to get to the bottom of this.
I will keep everyone updated on any information that I receive. Thanks for everyone’s support. We are a very lucky community to be able to come together and fight for what is right.

A big thank you to all the residents that attended the city council meeting tonight. I will be contacting the city again tomorrow, and I urge and challenge all of you that signed the petition to call or email city council members to voice your concerns. They will listen!

I support ALL power lines to be underground. Especially on Madrid Ln. off of Isla Vista.

Power lines should not be above ground if our property tax is going to go up 30,000 in a year.

above ground power lines have electrical outages more often than underground. It is also dangerous to our neigh it's as we live in such a high wind area. Taylor Morrison is just trying to cheap out!

The very first Hurricane that comes through? Will cost more than $6,000,000 to repair all fallen power lines. Not to mention any hurricanes thereafter. I can not believe the government really cares that a measly builder/developer is going to lose $6,000,000, when they are going to lose out on WAY more than that when Hurricanes keep dropping them. The government can't be that dumb.

These lines are unsightly. We moved into Marbella partly because of the beauty and Siri
