I went to Market Basket for the first time today and immediately noticed that all the men were bagging and the women were cashiers. This is so sexism and now to see they have an outdated dress code! I will never go to Market Basket again!

Hair color does not determine the person or the performance of the work, or their ability of it!! Whether it be hair color, tattooes or facial hair you should not judge the person due to them expressing themselves!!

My boyfriend wants to work for your company and has been offered a position twice, but is completely turned off by having absolutely no facial hair. It changes him as a person and really does not look good on him. I can understand beards being not aloud as that is long excessive hair that can fall out on food and create germs, but a thin mustache or goatee should not be a problem in any profession.

I had a beard when I started to work at Market Basket and had to shave It, and I know there are alternative options such as hair nets for beards (I work in the deli) so using the excuse it for hygienically purposes is completely untrue.

Today I have to go buy yoga pants rather then wear the black jeans I wear on a daily basis. I believe yoga pants are degrading to all woman and their is absolutely nothing unorofessional about black jeans. I work in a department where anything you wear is going to get stained. Black jeans don't only look more peofessional and clean then yoga pants they are less provocative. I also normally have my hair died whatever color I want and have piercings the fact that someone can tell me what I can and can't look like is absolutely rediculous. also, if they feel the need to have us buy a uniform that they specifically want that cost should come out of their pocket NOT MINE

my facial hair was nice and trimmed and it looked very good indeed.. buty job said it was a rule to have a clean shaved fave and now. I'm not comfortable with myself as my beard wasn't long or raggidy. it was nice and trimmed and was like a signature appearance for me..
