By signing this petition, you are telling Mazda Canada to have their engineers turn my humble Mazda5 into the first factory-backed Mazdaspeed5. Dads deserve to be able to buy a Mazdaspeed5. This car will be a proof of concept. Not only can it work - dads will want one. And, when the inevitable groundswell of demand demands it be mass-produced, dads everywhere will buy one. What Mazda will do: Take the motor, suspension, brakes, and wheels from a Mazdaspeed3 and put them on my Mazda5 (including all the fiddly stuff they'll have to do to make it work, of course). What I will do in return: Pay $1.00 (that should cover the parts and labour) and allow Mazda to show my one-of-a-kind masterpiece at the Canadian International Auto Show.
