Complaint/Appeal of the Democratic Party Election of All officers at the Feburary 12, 2011 Spring Convention Held in Detroit at Cobo Hall. This appeal is filed in accordance with Article 13, Section C1 of the Michigan Democratic Party Rules. The aggrieved Persons Represent an identifiable group, same being numerous African American party members from across the state of Michigan as well as individual Party members of good standing and having a depressed economic status, e.g. poor people. Each individual and those party members they represent were aggrieved by the actions of the Democratic Executive Committee Officials in Conducting the Spring 2011 Michigan State Party Convention and the election of state officers held at the convention. People attempted to call for point of order regarding, " Rule H3 of the Rules committee report which states, Each person seeking a nomination for Chair or Vice-Chair shall file a non-refundable fee of $1000 for Chair and $500 for vice chair. No candidate shall have/her name placed into nomination without timely filing of the fee." Ron Scott, a party member in good standing and a state central delegate was denied ability to run for chair based on this poll tax. Also no verified quorum of the state central committee. Our Charter prohibits discrimination based on economic status.
