Matthew Walk Field

The area is invaluable for the mental and physical well-being of the children who use that space daily.

This field was my life and some for the best part of 16 years while growing up. Without it, I would have been led to anti-social behaviour. Many great memories of Danescourt 99.99% of them were on this field!

The community needs this space

It will be such a shame if this area is left to grow & become to thick to play on!

This is a must for the local area and the children who attend the school

This was a godsend during covid to meet up with friends all spaced out and have a catch up

Great area for kids to play and stay safe

We use this area has a family to play ball games & it’s such an amazing community area !! This grass should be cut more !!

It's a real asset to the community, always has children playing on it. Should be cut more often.

I use this field in the summer for picnics

This field is the hub of Danescourt for kids to play, families to picnic and dog walkers to give their pets a good run around. Many of the surrounding flats/ houses have small/no garden and this field is used by so many.

This is what section 106 contributions for park’s maintenance is for! You already have sections of most parks which are left I mowed to enhance & promote biodiversity enhancement. It doesn’t take much to mow this area of grassland!

Keep it for the use of local families. Perhaps this should have been taken into consideration when building on other land in the area.

Keep it as it is,this is for the community of Danescourt, children & families

My kids love playing on the field with their friends after school, they have had parties on it, played games on it, flown kites on it, where else can young kids from the area do this within walking distance safely? CCC have given no thought about locals residents what so ever.

The whole community NEEDS this

Apart from this green area, there’s no other grassy areas for children to play safe!

I played on the mathew walk field as a child now my child plays there with his friend all through the year!!!

This space is used by all of Danescourt, right outside a school & Park to limit its use is a huge shame, especially with plenty of woodland near by and surrounding, it seems a huge loss to Danescourt if the entire space is taken out of use when it is enjoyed by so many, and for our family, is right outside our front door. The lack of maintenance would be unfortunate for such a lovely and well maintained area.
