I think it's way overdue for this item to be back in production, but I fear it will be much much more costly and far less of a great buy than it was 4 years ago. Nevertheless, they HAVE to re-release it, and maybe even have it always in production so we don't need to track down the $600 ones on eBay.

I thought of this same idea a couple of years ago. The costs of the initial molds would be reason enough for Mattel to re-visit another run of this prop/toy. They stand to make an ass-ton of money for their company, as demand is ultra-high.
The "scalpers" (for-high-re-sell-profit toy buyers) continue to fleece fans who missed out on this poorly publicized offering when it was made available the one time, years ago. Many, who discovered it's existence too late, have begrudgingly accepted that they will never own this amazing item.
With the new re-vision of "Ghostbusters" directed by Paul Feig coming to theaters later this year, with a stellar, funny all-female cast, the fanbase is in an absolute FRENZY.
DO THIS, MattyCollector. You'd be absolute idiots NOT to... Unless, of course, you don't like profits or money...
